Box Score A goal with 17 seconds left in the match put the Tigers on the losing end of a 1-0 score against No. 8 Central Missouri on Friday (Sept. 14) at the FHSU Soccer Stadium. The loss drops FHSU to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the MIAA.
The game seemed like it was going to overtime until Alexis Robbers of the Jennies hit in a shot in front of the goal with only 17 seconds left in the match. The goal was the first the Tigers have allowed in more than 382 minutes and only the second this season.
Despite allowing the one goal,
Nicole Barnaba had a strong performance in goal. The sophomore goalkeeper made seven saves, including a few specular plays that kept it scoreless until the end.
The Tigers had a few scoring opportunities in the game, getting three shots on goal. The Jennies totaled eight shots on goal and the total shot count was 16-11 in favor of the Jennies.
