The Fort Hays State women's basketball team looks to extend its win streak to five games on Wednesday when it plays at Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Mo. The Lady Tigers enter the game at 16-5 overall and 8-5 in the MIAA. Northwest Missouri State is 11-10 overall and 5-8 in the MIAA.

The Lady Tigers go through a second straight week of playing Northwest Missouri State and Nebraska-Kearney, but this week on the road. FHSU defeated both teams last week at home, starting with a 65-53 win over the Bearcats. It was the third straight game that FHSU scored 65 points against Northwest Missouri State, all in winning efforts. Fort Hays State is 2-4 in conference road games this season. The Lady Tigers are currently sixth in the MIAA standings.

Northwest Missouri State enters on a three-game losing streak. The Bearcats dropped a pair of road contests last week to FHSU and Washburn.

Kate Lehman leads FHSU in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots with 15.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 4.1 blocked shots per game. She leads NCAA Division II in blocked shots, now with a total of 86 for the season. She is just 10 away from her single-season record of 96 that she set last year as a true freshman. Katelyn Edwards averages 13.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, and leads the team in assists at 2.8 per game. Both Lehman and Edwards have six double-doubles in points and rebounds to their credit this year.
