Fort Hays State Men's Soccer returns to FHSU Soccer Stadium this Thursday (Sept. 25) to kick off a weekend of MIAA action.  The Tigers host rival Lindenwood at 7 p.m., on Thursday evening before closing out the weekend with Southwest Baptist on Saturday (Sept. 27) at 1 p.m.

FHSU (2-3-1, 0-2-0 MIAA) will look to snap a two-game losing streak in a rematch of last year's NCAA Regional semifinal and MIAA finals against Lindenwood, and grab its first win of the conference season.

Diego Cabral and Austin Clifton each have two goals for the Tigers and are tied for the team lead in points (four) and goals.  Michael Cole has one assist and one goal, while Damion Cooper has scored the other goal for FHSU this year.  Those six goals have made for a relatively slow offensive start for the Tigers, but a strong defense has kept the Tigers in contention through every game.

Eric Hymer has played every minute for the Tigers this year, joining Carlos Linares as defenders to start every game for FHSU this year.  Drew Wilson has started five games (appearing in six) and is second on the team with 510 minutes of game action, helping the Tigers limit opponents to 42 shots on goal through six games (seven per game).

Goalkeepers Kent Freund and Jason Babyak have split time in the net this year, with Freund starting a majority of contests (four).  Freund has 27 saves and allowed six goals in 413 minutes of action, while Babyak has allowed just two goals (1.22 per game) with seven saves in 148 minutes.

Lindenwood (2-2-2, 1-0-0 MIAA) picked up a conference victory over Southwest Baptist last weekend, but has yet to repeat its success from last year, being outscored by opponents 13-6 through six games this year.  Offensively, the Lions are led by Andre Hayne and Ignacio Romero's five points (two goals, one assist apiece).  In the net, Andrew Hamerlinck has played in all six games, allowing 12 goals and recording 17 saves with a 2.11 goals against average.

Southwest Baptist (0-7-0, 0-2-0 MIAA) fell in matchups last week to Upper Iowa and Lindenwood, outscored 8-2 in those two games.  The Bearcats' Justin Schaeffer has seven points (three goals, one assist) to lead the team offensively, while Ryan Estus has five points (two goals, one assist).  Between the pipes, Alan Shriner and Lajos Zadravecz have split time relatively evenly, with Shriner allowing 14 goals and Zadravecz giving up 21 scores.  Additionally, Shriner has saved 21 shots while Zadravecz has 12 saves.

Thursday's game will be streamed live online on a pay-per-view basis through Stretch Internet.  A link to the video is available here.
