HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State head tennis coach
Brian Flax announced the signing of Ellea Ediger for the 2017-18 season. Ediger is currently a senior at McPherson High School in McPherson, Kan.
Ediger is currently the No. 7 ranked player in Kansas and won regional titles all four years at McPherson High School. She was a top-five placer all four years at the state tournament. Ediger and teammate Rachel Ivers were state champions this year in Kansas Class 4A in doubles and Ediger finished the season with a record of 36-3. She teamed with Ivers as well in 2015 to earn a state runner-up finish in doubles. Ediger won 132 matches in her prep career at McPherson. As a freshman in 2013, she was the state runner-up in singles, helping her team to a state title that year.
