Men's Soccer Faces Wisconsin-Parkside in NCAA Round of 32

Fort Hays State Men's Soccer received the No. 6 seed in Super Region 3 of the NCAA Tournament and will face No. 3 seed Wisconsin-Parkside in the second round (Round of 32). The match will take place in Racine, Wisconsin on Sunday (Nov. 21) with kickoff scheduled for 12 pm CST. The Tigers come into this match fresh off a GAC/MIAA Tournament Championship and own a 13-5-2 overall record. The Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers finished as regular season and tournament champions in the GLIAC and come into this match 15-3-2 overall.

The Tigers claimed the automatic bid in the GAC/MIAA with a 2-0 victory over Northeastern State in the conference tournament championship on Sunday (Nov.14). Midfielder Taisei Arima and defender Alec Bevis claimed the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year awards respectively in the GAC/MIAA, and nine Tigers found their way into the All-GAC/MIAA Soccer Team. Blake Arndt currently leads the team in scoring with 10 goals, while Arima is close behind with eight. FHSU has scored 41 goals this season, averaging about two per match. Kieran Brown has allowed only 16 goals this season and has eight shutouts, including both matches in the GAC/MIAA Tournament.

The Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers claimed their automatic bid in the GLIAC with their championship victory of 3-2 over Davenport. They have 55 goals so far this season, while allowing 26 with 66 saves. They have six shutouts this season, five of which were wins. The Rangers currently own a national ranking of No. 20.
