The Fort Hays State women's soccer team will take a road trip to Oklahoma for two away matches this weekend. The Tigers will head to Tahlequah, Okla. on Friday (Oct. 13) to take on the Northeastern State Riverhawks at 7 p.m. Fort Hays will finish their weekend in Claremore, Okla. with a meeting against the Rogers State Hillcats. Kickoff for the weekend finale is set for 1 p.m.
 
The Fort Hays State Tigers enter the week in a tie for first place in the MIAA with the Washburn Ichabods and the Central Missouri Jennies. All three teams have a conference record of 4-0-1. The Tigers are 8-1-3 overall on the season after sweeping their competition last week with two home victories. 
Tyson John and his team have not dropped a match since September 22
nd. The This weekend will be a good test for the team, having only played two away matches so far this season. To enter the week, Northeastern State sits in 11
th place in the MIAA, while Rogers State ranks 7
th.
 
The Northeastern State Riverhawks are 3-5-4 on the season and 1-3-1 in conference play. NSU is coming off a 2-1 loss to Central Missouri. The Riverhawks hold the advantage in the all-time series with a record of 4-6-1 against FHSU. Friday's matchup will be coach John's first contest against NSU in Tahlequah with the program being 1-3 in road matches against the Riverhawks. The two teams tied in their lone meeting a season ago, 0-0 in Hays.
 
Rogers State begins their week of play at 5-5-2 overall on the season. The Hillcats will first host the Lopers of UNK on Friday before Sunday's meeting with the Tigers. Rogers State will be ready for both matchups after playing nine matches on the road so far this year. The Hillcats enter the week at 2-3-0 in conference play and are coming off a win against Missouri Southern.
 
Fort Hays State will stay on the road next weekend with a trip to Missouri to face Missouri Southern and Central Missouri.
