ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Fort Hays State and Ouachita Baptist battled to a 2-2 draw on September 28th at Kluck Field in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
FHSU displayed dominance in the first half, securing a commanding 2-0 lead at halftime. The early breakthrough came courtesy of 
Blake Arndt, who, a mere 1 minute and 35 seconds into the match, unleashed a precision right-footed strike that found the back of the net. Further enhancing Fort Hays State's lead, 
Alex Plimmer capitalized on a stolen crossing pass, expertly slotting home a hard right-footed shot.
However, OBU orchestrated a spirited second-half comeback. Ebon Jordan of Ouachita exhibited his offensive prowess by netting a goal from beyond the penalty box in the 56th minute, narrowing the margin to 2-1. Jordan secured his second goal of the match, heading in a deflected free-kick delivered by Daniel Marcano, thus tying the match at 2-2. FHSU outshot OBU 33-11 in the match. 
Fort Hays State's season record stands at 2-5-1, including a conference record of 1-1-1. Meanwhile, Ouachita's record moved to 0-6-2, with a conference record of 0-1-1. Arndt now has four goals on the season, placing him fourth within the conference in goals scored.
Fort Hays State looks ahead to a pivotal conference clash against Harding on Saturday (Sept. 30) at 11 a.m. in Searcy, Arkansas.
