The Fort Hays State Women's Soccer team continues there season with two more home games this upcoming weekend with matchups against Sioux Falls and Augustana. The Tigers will kickoff the weekend of play on Friday night (Sept. 8) against Sioux Falls with first kick at 6:00 p.m. Start time for Sunday's match (Sept. 10) against Augustana is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

The Tigers finished week one of the season with a flawless 2-0 record with victories over Northwestern Oklahoma State and Southwestern College. Fort Hays State is coming off of a dominating 4-0 win over Southwestern College and is looking to keep the momentum going.

Offensively Fort Hays State has netted six goals through two games. Leading the way on the offensive attack has been senior forward
Hannah Mares. Mares has scored goals in each of the first two contests, including a hat trick against the Moundbuilders last Saturday.
Montserrat Diaz and
Sullivan Kelly each have scored one goal to add to the offensive production. Defensively the Tigers have allowed just one goal and have outshot their opponents 41-8. Goalkeeper
Isabel Robben has record two saves thus far.

The Cougars of Sioux Falls come into the weekend with an 0-1 record, falling to Rogers State 1-0 in their season opener. Friday's match against Fort Hays State will serve to be Sioux Falls' first road test of the season. The Tigers and Cougars met let season to kickoff the year with the Tigers taking the match 2-0 in South Dakota. Fort Hays State is undefeated in the all-time series against the Cougars, winning all five matchups in the series history that began back in 2013.

The Augustana Vikings begin their weekend with another MIAA opponent in Northwest Missouri State on Friday before traveling to Hays for Sunday's match with the Tigers. The Vikings enter the week 2-0 and the No. 15 ranked team in the country. The Vikings started the season off with a win against No. 13 ranked Central Missouri. The Vikings have not allowed a goal in their two games, winning both matches 1-0 over their opponents. Fort Hays State and Augustana finished deadlocked at 1-1 versus each other last season in the second match of the season. The Vikings went on to finish the 2022 season at 11-7-2, falling in the NSIC tournament semifinals to Bemidji State to end their season. The all-time series record between the programs is 1-1-2.
