Central Missouri enters the weekend 5-2-1 overall and sit in a three-way tie at the top of the MIAA with Fort Hays State and Missouri Western at 2-0. The Jennies are coming off home wins against Northeastern State and Rogers State last week. Their two losses this season were to teams currently ranked No. 2 (Grand Valley State) and No. 11 (Dallas Baptist) in the nation. The Tigers are seeking their first win over the Jennies since the 2015 season when they won 2-1 in Hays over a No. 1 nationally ranked Jennies squad. The Jennies have gone 12-0-1 against the Tigers since that result. Last year, UCM won 3-0 in Warrensburg and then 1-0 in the MIAA Tournament semifinals in Wichita.
Emporia State has been a thorn in the side of Fort Hays State each of the last two years. The Hornets knocked the Tigers out of the NCAA Tournament both years, even though the Tigers went unbeaten against the Hornets in the last four regular season meetings (1-0-3). The Hornets enter the weekend 3-3-1 overall and 1-1 in the MIAA after a win over Newman and loss to Central Oklahoma last week. The Tigers lead the all-time series 9-7-8 and seek their first home win over the Hornets since 2017. The teams have played to a draw in four of the last six regular season meetings.
Taylor Hill and
Allison Worley lead the Tigers in points, both with five. Each have two goals and one assist on the season.
Britney Arneson,
Gracen Chaney, and
