The Fort Hays State women's soccer team is set go on the road for their first pair of conference matches this weekend (Sept. 27-29). The Tigers possess a 3-1-2 overall record riding a 3-match win streak. The Tigers will play at Missouri Southern on Friday (Sep 27) at 6 p.m. in Joplin before matching up with Pittsburg State on Sunday (Sep 29) at 1 p.m.
The Tigers are in the final weekend of their six-game road swing after playing their first two contests of the season at home. The Tigers are 3-0-1 away from home so far this season.
Britney Arneson leads the team with two goals, while
Gracen Chaney leads in assists with two. Both have four points for the season.
Missouri Southern enters Friday's match at 1-3-2 overall. FHSU leads the all-time series 8-2-3 and look to continue a five-match win streak against MSSU. After MSSU won the first two meetings in the series history back in 2011 and 2012, FHSU is 8-0-3 against MSSU since 2013.
Pittsburg state enters the week 4-2 overall after a 1-0 loss to Southwestern Oklahoma State. The Gorillas play Nebraska-Kearney on Friday before matching up with the Tigers on Sunday. The matchup between the Tigers and the Gorillas will be the first meeting between the two schools with this being the first year of Pittsburg State's program.
