Women’s Soccer Heads to Washburn for Sunday Match

Fort Hays State women's soccer wraps up its regular season road schedule this Sunday (Oct. 26) with a conference matchup at Washburn in Topeka. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Yager Stadium.
 
The Tigers (3-9-1, 1-6-1 MIAA) are looking to get back in the win column in MIAA play. Sydney Cotter continues to lead the Tigers in points for the year with 16, producing six goals and four assists so far. In goal, Hadley Ostrander has a .733 save percentage and four shutouts for the season.
 
Washburn (8-2-3, 5-0-2 MIAA) enters on a nine-match unbeaten streak, most recently earning a 1-1 draw against Rogers State. Leah Henke leads WU with 19 points for the season, owning nine goals and an assist. Lili Everley has a .794 save percentage and five individual shutouts in goal.
 
Fort Hays will need a strong performance to challenge a Washburn squad that has yet to lose in conference play. The Tigers are looking to climb into the mix of top eight teams in the conference in search of a conference postseason tournament berth.
