Fort Hays State Women's Soccer will be at home this Friday (Oct. 10) for a conference match with Central Oklahoma before finishing their week on the road at Newman University on Sunday (Oct. 12). The action at FHSU Soccer Stadium Friday night begins at 7 p.m., then Sunday's contest in Wichita will be at 1 p.m.

The Bronchos have yet to score in MIAA play, but are riding a strong defensive stretch allowing just 1.0 goals per match in four conference contests. Most recently, UCO played to a scoreless draw at Missouri Western. Goalkeeper Avery Bass anchored the effort with six saves. UCO leads the all-time series with FHSU 10-6-2, however FHSU has won two of the last three meetings.

The Jets are also searching for their first conference win, sitting at 0-4 in MIAA play so far. The Jets are allowing 3.3 goals per match over their four conference contests and scored just one goal during that run. Fort Hays State is 7-0 against Newman all time with four wins in Hays and three in Wichita. The Tigers have scored two goals in each of the last four meetings with the Jets and three of those matches were shutouts. Overall, FHSU has five shutouts against Newman in the seven-game history between the schools.

Fort Hays State is also seeking its first MIAA win of the season, entering at 0-3-1 in conference play. The Tigers netted their first two goals in MIAA play back on Sunday when Sydney Cotter scored twice in the loss at Emporia State. She leads the team in goals with six, followed by Chaley French with four. The pair has accounted for just over 71 percent of the team's goals this season and Cotter is the team leader in assists as well with three. Hadley Ostrander has been the Tiger goalkeeper for the majority of the season, currently with a .732 save percentage for the season and three shutouts.

Live stats and streaming will be available for both matches.
