Fort Hays State had five members of its men's soccer team receive College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors for the 2025 season. This award honors a combination of academic and athletic accomplishments of the individuals selected.
 
Earning the honor for FHSU Men's Soccer this year were Tadhg Walsh, Elias Ovelar Semeniuk, Dimitry Tchantcheu, Jackson Elgas, and Collin Hershberger. Walsh, Elgas, and Hershberger are all repeat selections for the honor. Walsh and Elgas are three-time selections, while Hershberger repeated after receiving the honor last year.

To be considered for Academic All-District selection, an individual must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better, and compete in 90 percent of the team's contests or start at least 66 percent of contests at the time of nomination.
 
Walsh is not just a three-time recipient of the Academic All-District Team, but he also earned Academic All-America Second Team honors from CSC last year. Walsh was both a performance and academic All-America performer back in 2024. So far in 2025, he has 13 points with four goals and five assists. He was tabbed the GAC/MIAA Midfielder of the Year in 2025 and became a four-time All-GAC/MIAA selection at his position, including a first-team selection each of the last three years. Walsh has put together a strong career at FHSU with 52 points, accumulating 13 goals and 26 assists. He is a Health and Human Performance major at FHSU and holds a cumulative GPA of 3.87.
 
Ovelar Semeniuk received the honor for the first time this year and is in the midst of a big season on the pitch. He was named the GAC/MIAA Offensive Player of the Year in 2025 and continues to rank among the nation's best in several offensive categories. His 15 goals currently ranks second nationally and his 34 points ranks fifth nationally. Most recently, he was dubbed as the D2CCA Central Region Player of the Year thanks to his big offensive year. He has six game-winning goals, which ranks third nationally. He has 71 points over three seasons at FHSU with 31 goals and nine assists. Ovelar Semeniuk is an Agriculture major at FHSU and holds a cumulative GPA of 3.65.
 
Tchantcheu earned the honor for the first time this year after garnering All-GAC/MIAA First Team honors as a defender. He played and started in 16 matches before an injury has sidelined him since. Tchantcheu was critical to the Tigers recording 13 shutouts during the regular season, helping the team to a 0.35 goals against average through the first 17 matches. He also accumulated three points with a goal and an assist in 2025. Tchantcheu is now a graduate student at FHSU working on a Master's of Business Administration and produced a 3.72 undergraduate GPA and now a 3.57 graduate GPA.

Elgas has put together another strong year as a defender for FHSU, helping the team to 14 shutouts throughout the 2025 season and a 0.48 goals against average for the season. He has eight points through 21 matches in 2025, producing three goals and two assists. He has 19 points over his four-year career at FHSU with five goals and nine assists. Elgas earned this honor for a third-straight year as a Biology major at FHSU with a cumulative GPA of 3.89.
 
Hershberger lands this honor for a second-straight year. He has played in 20 matches in 2025, producing three points with a goal and an assist. He has played in 54 matches over three seasons and has 10 career points with four goals and two assists. Hershberger is an Accounting major at FHSU and has a cumulative GPA of 3.80.
