CLAREMORE, Okla. - The 19th-ranked Fort Hays State baseball team concluded the regular season with a 11-1 loss at Rogers State Saturday afternoon (May 3). The Tigers head into the postseason 32-15 overall and 26-10 in MIAA play, while the Hillcats are now 29-19 on the year and 19-17 in league action.

After three and a half scoreless innings, Rogers State opened the scoring with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth.
Elliott Herrmann answered right away for the Tigers, leading off the fifth with his 11th home run of the year.

The Hillcats then ran away with the game against the FHSU bullpen, scoring 10 runs between the seventh and eighth innings to secure the win.

Five different Tigers collected one hit, while the Hillcats picked up 12 hits on the day.
Paul Panduro worked the first six innings, allowing one run on five hits and four walks while striking out three Hillcats.

The Tigers will open the postseason on Thursday (May 8) as the No. 3 seed in the MIAA Championship Tournament when they take on sixth-seeded Northwest Missouri State beginning at 7 p.m. in Joplin, Mo.
