The Fort Hays State University Women's Soccer team is set to kick off its 2025 season with a pair of non-conference matchups. The Tigers will open the season on the road against Rockhurst University on Friday, September 5, with kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m. in Kansas City. They will return home to host Northwestern Oklahoma State on Sunday, September 7, 3 p.m. at FHSU Soccer Stadium.

Fort Hays State enters the season following a challenging 2024 campaign in which the team posted a 7-8-4 overall record. Injuries played a significant role, sidelining several key players throughout the year. Despite the injuries, the Tigers had six players earn All-MIAA honors, and two of those honorees return in 2025 - forwards Sydney Cotter and Taylor Hill. Hill tied for the team lead in goals last season with five, while Cotter added four. Head Coach Tyson John enters his fourth season, holding a record of 31-16-14 at FHSU. This fall, the Tigers welcome 16 newcomers—including five transfers and 11 freshmen—who look to make an immediate impact.

Rockhurst University finished the 2024 season with a strong 12-6-1 overall record, including 10-3-1 in GLVC play. The Hawks outscored their opponents 36-21, averaging 1.89 goals per match, while ranking fourth in the conference in shots per match (17.11). Rockhurst claimed a 2-1 win in the only previous meeting between the two programs, played last year at FHSU Soccer Stadium.

Northwestern Oklahoma State concluded its 2024 season with a 2-9-7 overall record, going 0-5-6 in Great American Conference play. The Rangers managed just nine goals on the year, while allowing 21. Fort Hays State holds a 5-0 all-time series lead against Northwestern Oklahoma, dating back to the first meeting in 2013. Before their matchup in Hays, the Rangers will face Eastern New Mexico University on Thursday, September 4.

Live stats and video coverage will be available for both matches.
