Promotion: Wrestling team plans to provide foam light sticks to the first 150 Tiger fans in attendance.
After a competitive weekend at the NWCA/USMC National Duals in Cedar Falls, the No. 9 ranked Fort Hays State University women's wrestling team returns to Gross Memorial Coliseum this Sunday, January 18, for their final home duals of the 2025–26 season. The Tigers, now 5–3 in dual action, will host Sioux Falls and Colorado Mesa in a tri‑dual beginning at 12 p.m.
The action will start with Colorado Mesa facing Sioux Falls at 12 p.m. The second dual of the day between Fort Hays State and Colorado Mesa will not start until 1 p.m., since Sunday is Senior Day and Fort Hays State's three seniors (
Nichole Moore,
Isabell Ortiz, and
Marissa Porsch) will be recognized prior to the match. The third dual of the day between FHSU and Sioux Falls will start as soon as possible after the FHSU/CMU matchup.
The Fort Hays State lineup features three ranked wrestlers, which includes top-ranked
Isabella Renfro at 180, No. 8 ranked
Leiannah Landreth (14-5) at 117, and No. 10 ranked
Peyton Hellmann (15-3) at 138.
Morgan Maschmann (19-6) is on the verge of being the second Tiger to reach 20 wins this season, just three behind
Isabella Renfro who is 22-0 this season. Among FHSU's probables for Sunday, the Tigers have a wrestler with at least 10 wins in all but one of the classes.
Colorado Mesa features five ranked wrestlers in its probable lineup, headlined by No. 3 ranked Mia Zuniga at 103 and No. 5 ranked Jayleen Sekona at 207. Sekona is on the verge of becoming CMU's all-time wins leader, currently tied for the school record with 94.
Though Sioux Falls does not have any ranked wrestlers, the Cougars have three individuals in their lineup with 17 or more wins for the season. Johanna Steinlicht leads the way with a 20-5 record at 138.
Fans can watch all of the action on The MIAA Network, all part of one continuous stream. Live results will also be available for all three matches. Below are the projected lineups for each school.
