Shaw Named to CSC Academic All-America Team for Second-Straight Year

GREENWOOD, Indiana - Fort Hays State senior offensive lineman Josh Shaw was named to the CSC Academic All-America Team for the 2025 season on Tuesday (Jan. 27). Shaw is now a two-time Academic All-America selection, earning second-team honors for the second-straight year. The Academic All-America Team is voted on by members of College Sports Communicators nationwide.

Shaw now gives FHSU 10 CSC Academic All-America selections during head coach Chris Brown's tenure leading the program. It makes the 21st selection overall for FHSU Football in the history of the award.

Shaw is the third Academic All-America selection for Fort Hays State this academic year after men's soccer student-athletes Tadhg Walsh and Elias Ovelar Semeniuk earned the distinction. Walsh was also a repeat selection like Shaw.

Shaw was a performance All-America selection in 2025 by D2Football.com, part of the organization's Elite 100 Team. He was a three-time All-MIAA selection on the offensive line, including first-team honors the last two years. Shaw holds a 3.97 cumulative GPA as an Agricultural Business major. As previously noted, his father Brian Shaw was a two-time Academic All-America selection in football at the University of Nebraska in 1998 and 1999.

Shaw started all 11 games on the offensive line for FHSU in 2025, mainly at left guard, and even made a couple of spot starts at left tackle due to injuries. He helped the Tiger offense generate 3,409 yards for the season. He made 37 consecutive starts on the offensive line at FHSU, going back to his freshman season of 2022.

Shaw brings Fort Hays State's all-time CSC Academic All-America selection count to 81. Fort Hays State's first CSC Academic All-America selection occurred in 1975. The Tigers have enjoyed 51 Academic All-America selections since joining the MIAA in 2006-07.
