PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Fort Hays State women's track and field team placed seventh at the 2026 MIAA Indoor Championships Sunday (March 1), with
Reba Mader breaking the school record to win the league title in the 600y run. The Tigers combined for 47.5 points on the week, with 10 different entries contributing to the team score.

The Tigers finished the week with four All-MIAA honors, two school records and three national qualifying marks.

After qualifying in fourth in the preliminary round of the 600y run, Mader shaved more than two seconds off her time to win the race in 1:21.44, more than 1.5 seconds quicker than the old school record.
Amelia Foster placed eighth in the finals with a time of 1:25.62, adding one team point to Mader's 10.

Emily Diercks McCullough placed fourth in the 3,000m run with a time of 9:52.87, securing five team points to go along with her eight points added in the 5,000m run on Saturday.

Mader and Foster ended the day in the 4x400m run where they combined with
Makenzie Premer and
Hailey Brown for a time of 3:55.87, placing sixth and securing three team points.

Taylor Hoskinson ran the mile in 5:05.74, finishing in seventh place and contributing two team points.
Â
Jayme Hagerman advanced to the finals in the triple jump, finishing eighth with a top leap of 36-6.25 to chip in one team point.
Â
The Tigers will now await the announcement of selections for the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships, scheduled for Tuesday (March 3). The indoor track and field championships will be held March 13-14 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
