Fort Hays State had six women's student-athletes from cross country and track and field receive CSC Academic All-District honors for the 2025-26 academic year, announced on June 23. Recipients of the honor this year included
Emily Diercks McCullough,
Emma Weiner,
Emma Slade,
Reba Mader,
Jayme Hagerman, and
Makenzie Premer.

Fort Hays State received the maximum number of selections an institution can receive for cross country and track and field. The award honors a combination of academic and athletic accomplishments of the individuals selected.

For potential selection to the Academic All-District Team, an individual must rank in the Top 50 of their region in a single event (cross country, indoor track and field or outdoor track and field), not including relay events. They must also be at least a sophomore in athletic eligibility and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

McCullough and Hagerman are now two-time recipients of this honor, while Weiner, Slade, Mader, and Premer earned the honor for the first time.

McCullough closed out her career as one of the top distance runners in FHSU cross country and track and field history. She won the MIAA Cross Country Championship for the second-straight year, the first multi-time conference champion in the program's history, and then backed that up by winning the NCAA Central Regional Championship. She remained undefeated against NCAA Division II competition in the fall up until the NCAA Championship meet, where she placed 12
th and earned All-America honors. She was the USTFCCCA Cross Country Central Region Athlete of the Year. McCullough had another highly successful season on the track by winning the MIAA title during the outdoor season in the 10,000 meters, and she was an All-America performer in the 10,000 meters by finishing fourth at the national meet. She also was an indoor All-America performer in the 5,000 meters by finishing 12
th. McCullough was a women's finalist for the annual MIAA Ken B. Jones Award (student-athlete of the year). She put together a 3.85 cumulative GPA as a Health and Human Performance major at FHSU.

Weiner was a top-50 performer at the NCAA Central Regional in cross country, finishing 33
rd overall. She also ranked among the top 50 regionally for track and field in the indoor 5,000 and 3,000 meters and the outdoor 10,000 meters. Weiner holds a 3.96 cumulative GPA as a Biology major at FHSU.

Slade put together another strong season in throwing events for the Tigers, a national qualifier during the outdoor season for both the discus and hammer throw. She placed 15
th in the discus and 19
th in the hammer throw. She was among the top eight performers regionally in both events. She met the regional performance list standard for the indoor season in the weight throw as well. Slade holds a 3.91 cumulative GPA as a Nursing major at FHSU.

Mader ranked among the top seven regionally in the 400-meter hurdles and among the top 40 nationally in the event. For the indoor 400-meter dash, she ranked 15
th regionally. She held a 3.51 GPA as an Accounting major.

During the outdoor season, Hagerman ranked among the top 20 regionally in the long jump and among the top 30 in the triple jump. For the indoor season, Hagerman was among the top 40 regionally in the triple jump and among the top 50 regionally in the long jump. She holds a 3.69 cumulative GPA as a Health and Human Performance major at FHSU.

Premer competed for the Tigers in both cross country and track and field. She ranked inside the top 30 regionally in the outdoor 3,000-meter steeplechase. Premer is a Medical Diagnostic Imaging major at FHSU with a 3.80 cumulative GPA.
