GILBERT, Ariz. - The Fort Hays State tennis team earned ITA All-Academic Team status for the 10th-straight year in 2025-26, announced on Tuesday (July 14). In addition, six student-athletes from the team were named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the academic year.

Ines Steeman earned the honor for a third-straight year, while Bethan Gill and Janae Montoya earned the distinction for a second-straight year. Ines Latorre, Diana Souza, and Angeliki Efthymiou received the honor for the first time. Student-athletes receiving the honor held a GPA of at least 3.50 during the latest academic year. This is the fifth-straight season the Tigers had five or more student-athletes earn the award.
 
The Tigers have now been named an ITA All-Academic Team in 10-straight seasons and 19 times since 2004. Teams must accumulate a GPA of 3.20 or above to earn ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
