Fort Hays State University is dedicated and obligated to the principle of institutional control in operating its athletic program. The department operates in a manner that is consistent with all NCAA, MIAA, and University rules and regulations. Fort Hays State University strives for academic and athletic excellence, as well as maintaining the highest standard of ethical conduct.
Involvement with our athletics program is critical to our success, but any inappropriate activity, even if unintentional, could jeopardize the eligibility of our current and prospective student-athletes and the compliance of Fort Hays State University with NCAA regulations.
FHSU’s Athletic Department maintains programs that coordinate, monitor and verify compliance with all NCAA requirements. The office also seeks to educate the various departments at FHSU and the athletic community regarding NCAA regulations, especially those relating to interactions between representatives and prospective student-athletes and current student-athletes.
