Cade Lott is in his second season as assistant baseball coach at Fort Hays State University in 2025-26.
Lott helped the Tigers to 32 wins in his first season, their highest win total in 18 years. FHSU won 26 conference games in 2025, their highest win total since joining the MIAA in 2007. The squad reached the MIAA quarterfinals and had one All-American, seven All-MIAA selections and one MIAA Gold Glove Award winner.
Lott began his coaching career at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, serving as the director of program development in 2023-24. The Islanders went 22-35 that season and had three all-conference selections.
Lott played collegiately at Eastern Oklahoma State before transferring to Fort Hays State for the 2023 season. A native of McAlester, Okla., Lott was an All-State selection and a preseason All-American during his high-school career with the Buffaloes.
Lott graduated from Fort Hays State University in the spring of 2024 with a bachelor's degree in business management.
