Candace Bollig enters her first year as a student assistant coach with the Fort Hays State Softball program in 2019. She is a native of Ellis, Kansas.
Bollig played the final two years of her collegiate career at Fort Hays State, earning All-MIAA honors both years. She started all 106 games she played in for the Tigers, serving as the team's third baseman. In her two years with the Tigers, she accumulated a .295 batting average, 93 hits, 24 extra-base hits, 49 runs scored and 48 RBIs.
Prior to her time at Fort Hays State, Bollig played junior college ball at both Dodge City (Kan.) Community College and Barton (Kan.) Community College. She was an all-conference selection as a sophomore at Dodge City.
