Lily Sale enters her fifth season as an assistant coach at Fort Hays State in 2026. She has been a continuous member of the team for 10 years after playing for the Tigers from 2017-2021.

As a student-athlete, Sale was one of the top defensive players to ever play for the Tigers. She was a five-year starter at shortstop and holds the FHSU record for career assists with 423. She started all but one of the 224 games she played in during her career, and the 224 games played was a program record when she completed her career. She was an All-MIAA selection in 2019.

A native of Aurora, Colorado, Sale earned her bachelor’s in Health and Human Performance at Fort Hays State with an emphasis in K-12 Teaching/Coaching. She then earned her master’s in Sport Administration at Fort Hays State. She also works with Events and Facilities Operations for Fort Hays State Athletics.
