Kristen Fleharty earned Athlete of the Week honors after winning the 60 meter hurdles his weekend at the UNK Pre-Holiday Quadrangular. The Tigers as a team finished third at the event.

Fleharty, a junior from Hays, Kan., won the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.93 seconds to beat Paige Pollard by more than four tenths of a second. Pollard finished second in 9.36 seconds. Fleharty also finished fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 27.01 seconds.

As a team, the Tigers finished third out of four teams with a score of 169 points. Nebraska-Kearney and Chadron State finished first and second, with Wayne State placing fourth.

The Tigers return to action on Jan. 12 in the Wichita State Invitational.
