Kaiameka Brown earned Athlete of the Week honors for her performance in the Lady Tigers' 65-42 win over Northwest Missouri State on Saturday. The win was the first all-time for Fort Hays State on the road at Northwest Missouri State.

In just 14 minutes of action off the bench, Brown scored 10 points for FHSU. The junior from La Puente, Calif. was one of five Tigers in double figures as FHSU had a balanced scoring attack. Brown was 3-for-5 from the field, including an impressive 2-for-2 from 3-point range. Brown added one rebound and one blocked shot in the win.

Brown averages 7.3 points per game this season as a top reserve for the Tigers. She is almost shooting 40 percent from 3 at 39 percent. She adds one rebound per game and over two assists per game on the season.

Fort Hays State as a team is 15-5 on the season and 7-5 in the MIAA, which ranks them fifth in the conference standings. The Tigers travel to St. Joseph tonight for a 5:30 p.m. match up with the Griffons of Missouri Western.
