Freshman pitcher Ryan Ruder tossed eight effective innings for the Tigers this week, including his first career start Saturday (March 18). The lefty allowed just three runs on eight hits, striking out a team-high six batters for the week while issuing zero walks. Ruder limited opponents to a .267 batting average in 30 at bats.
