Marcus Altman helped the Tigers begin their season with a series sweep of Texas-Permian Basin (Feb. 2-4), including wins of 6-0, 6-3 and 13-7. Altman slashed .500/.467/.643 for the week. He went 7-for-14 at the plate with two doubles, three runs scored and totaled seven RBI for the week. His key performance came on opening day as he scraped up a four-RBI performance against the Falcons. He surpassed his RBI total (five) from last season in just three games so far this year.
