Lewton outdueled PSU starter Ryan Hintze in the first game of the series on Friday night. Lewton allowed five hits and struck out five in eight innings of work before handing the ball over to closer Brett Macari in the ninth. A pair of runs in the top of the ninth broke a 2-2 tie and put Lewton in line for the win, moving him to 3-3 on the season. Three of the eight innings he retired the side in order.
