Melissa Skovira has been named Athlete of the Week after an impressive showing at the Bethany Tournament. She won the singles Bracket C with three straight set wins before defeating Anne Doole of Washburn in the finals. Three of her four singles wins were against Division II opponents, including MIAA conference opponents Abby Morris and Anne Doole.

She was also 1-1 in double play in the tournament.
