Box Score After the Fort Hays State women's soccer team tied the match at 1-1, Missouri Southern scored a late goal that gave the Lions the 2-1 win on Friday night (Sept. 21) at Hal Bodon Field in Joplin, Mo. The Tigers drop to 4-3 and 1-2 in the MIAA.
The Lion game-winner came in the 82nd minute as MSSU put in a header off a corner kick. Candis Clark scored off the corner kick of Cortney Sanders for the 2-1 advantage.
The host team started the scoring in the first half, scoring in the 39
th minute and took a 1-0 lead. The goal was the only score of the first half.
FHSU tied the match in the second half.
Sade Humphrey scored the equalizer, her second goal of the season, unassisted in the 60th minute for a 1-1 tie.

Rachael Schaad took the loss, making six saves on 13 shots and allowing the two goals.
The Tigers totaled 16 shots to 13 by the Lions. FHSU held a 12-7 shot advantage in the second half; however, the Tigers only tallied the one goal.
FHSU returns home for three straight matches. On Monday (Sept. 24), the Tigers take on Friends University at 4 p.m. at the FHSU Soccer Stadium.
