The Fort Hays State women's basketball team plays at Truman in Kirksville, Mo. on Saturday (Jan. 26). Tipoff is set for 1 pm at Pershing Arena. Fort Hays State enters at 12-4 overall, 4-4 in the MIAA, while Truman enters at 14-3 overall and 7-2 in the MIAA. Both teams are receiving votes in the latest WBCA Division II Top 25 Poll.

Fort Hays State is coming off a 75-63 win at Lindenwood on Thursday. FHSU is looking for consecutive wins for the first time since starting the year 10-0. The Lady Tigers had lost four of their last five games before the win at Lindenwood on Thursday. Fort Hays State won the last two meetings with Truman, sweeping the regular season home/away series last year. The teams face each other just once this year in the regular season.

Truman is still undefeated at home this year at 9-0. Last Saturday, the Bulldogs knocked off then No. 11 ranked Central Missouri by nine points. Truman has not been in the Top 25 of the national rankings yet this season, but have been steadily climbing in votes received in recent polls. The Bulldogs are currently tied for second in the MIAA standings with Northeastern State.

Kate Lehman continues to lead FHSU in scoring, rebounding, and blocked shots. She is averaging 15.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 4.4 blocked shots per game. She leads NCAA Division II in blocked shots. With eight blocked shots against Lindenwood on Thursday, she became the career leader in blocked shots at FHSU with 167 in her career, passing Ashlee Gustin's 166.

Truman has three players averaging double figures in scoring, led by Becka McHenry at 14.1 points per game. Shooting 46.4 percent as a team for the season, Truman currently ranks fifth in the nation in field goal percentage. At 43.5 percent, the Bulldogs lead the nation in 3-point field goal percentage.

This is the final game of a three-game road swing for FHSU. The Lady Tigers return home for four consecutive games starting on Wednesday, January 30 with Central Oklahoma.
