Results

The Tiger wrestling program had seven place-winners at the Nebraska-Kearney Open on Saturday (Nov. 23), led by champion Symon Seaton in the 133 pound weight class. 
 
Seaton finished 5-0 on the day, capping a title run in the amateur division with a 10-1 major decision over Central Missouri's Hunter Neighbor.
 
Fort Hays State had two wrestlers compete in the 149 weight class in the elite division, as Noah Killip finished fourth and Joey Dozier, fifth.  Killip went 4-2 on the day, including a close defeat at the hands of second-ranked Jordan Basks (Central Oklahoma) in the semifinals. Dozier finished 5-2 for the tournament with two pins.  The pair would meet in the consolation semifinals, with Killip advancing to the consolation finals
 
Mitchell Means tallied three wins on the day, picking up decisions over Alex Schmersahl (Central Missouri) and Tanner Miller (Wyoming) after a first-round bye.  Means fell to last year's National Champion, Cory Dauphin of Central Oklahoma, in the elite division finals.
 
Trey Page battled to a 2-3 record on the day, closing out the elite division for the Tigers by finishing sixth at 285 pounds.
 
In the 125 pound weight class, Adam Ludwin won the most matches of any Tiger (six) while finishing in third-place.  Ludwin picked up a 6-3 decision over D'Andrew Brumfield of Nebraska-Kearney in the consolation semifinals.
 
FHSU's seventh place winner was Cash Drylie at 197 pounds.  Drylie finished runner-up in the amateur division, falling only to Division I foe Nathan Rotert (South Dakota State) in the finals.  Drylie reached the finals by knocking off Garrett Henshaw of Central Oklahoma in sudden victory, 3-1.
 
The Tigers break from action until Dec. 7, when FHSU hosts the Bob Smith Open at Gross Memorial Coliseum.
