Box Score Fort Hays State University had 14 different players see the floor in an all-around effort that saw the Tigers cruise by University of Saint Mary, 100-34, on Monday night in Hays, Kan.

The Tigers improved to 7-1 on the season, shooting 44.3 percent from the field.

Kate Lehman and
Katelyn Edwards each hit the double-double mark. Lehman tallied a team-high 16 points with 10 rebounds, followed by Edwards' 14 points and 10 rebounds. Lehman added six blocks in the winning effort. Lehman now has 265 career blocks, and is first all-time in career blocks for the MIAA.

In addition to Lehman and Edwards,
Jill Faxon and
Chelsea Mason broke the double-digit threshold in points, as Faxon had 15 tallies and Mason had 10.

Tera Ingalsbe and
Paige Lunsford put together strong all-around efforts, as Ingalsbe finished with eight points and seven rebounds, and Lunsford had six points and nine rebounds.Â

From the guard position,
Taylor Chandler led the team in assists (five) and steals (four), while
Beth Bohuslavsky had four assists and
Nikola Kacperska had eight points.

The Tigers would outscore Saint Mary in every offensive specialty stat, including a 57-8 advantage in bench points.

Up 23-12 in the first half, a jumper from Edwards sparked the largest run of the opening period, as FHSU scored 19 unanswered to jump ahead, 42-12. Faxon had six points in that span, followed by five from Kacperska.

FHSU led by 32 at the break, up 49-17.

Three and a half minutes into the second half (ahead 56-21), the Tigers'
Keriann Shaw hit two free throws to start the largest run of the evening – a 28-0 run that saw 10 different Tigers notch a basket. That run lasted until the 9:09 mark, when a USM basket made it 84-23.

The largest lead of the night (66) occurred at the 4:01 mark, with the Tigers leading 97-31, and as the final score, 100-34.

This is the third time the Tigers have broken the 100-point margin this season, and is the largest margin of victory for FHSU through eight games.
