The 21st-ranked Fort Hays State softball team opens MIAA play on the road on Friday and Saturday with doubleheaders at Emporia State and Washburn. FHSU enters the weekend at 15-3 overall. The doubleheader at Emporia State on Friday is set to start at 4 pm, while the doubleheader at Washburn on Saturday is set for 1 pm.

The Tigers start the conference slate with the defending conference champion, Emporia State, which enters the doubleheader at 10-5 overall. Washburn was 4-10 overall entering a doubleheader with Nebraska-Kearney on Friday.
