The 17th-ranked Fort Hays State softball team heads on the road this weekend for a pair of MIAA doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. The first stop on the trip is Kirksville, Mo., where the Tigers take on Truman on Friday at 1 pm, then the Tigers play at Lindenwood on Saturday in St. Charles, Mo. at 12 pm.

Fort Hays State enters the weekend tied for the MIAA lead with Central Oklahoma, each at 5-1 in conference play. The Tigers are 4-0 on the road in conference play so far and suffered their first conference loss this past week against Northeastern State at home. Four teams lurk at 4-2 right behind FHSU and UCO, which includes Truman.

Fort Hays State has the top overall record in the MIAA at 23-5 overall. Central Oklahoma is at 20-7 and Truman follows in win percentage at 16-6. Missouri Western at 20-8 entered the national rankings this week, joining FHSU and UCO.
