The Fort Hays State softball team hosts Lincoln University on Friday (Apr. 26) at Tiger Stadium in Hays, Kan. This is the final regular season doubleheader for Fort Hays State, which enters at 39-9 overall and 19-5 in the MIAA. It will be Senior Day and Fan Appreciation Day at the park as the lone senior on this year's team, Maddie Holub, will be honored during the doubleheader.

Unique to this doubleheader will be hamburgers and hot dogs on sale at the concession stand, which are not usually available for home softball games.

Fort Hays State is coming off a pair of splits in its last two doubleheaders on the road at Central Missouri and Nebraska-Kearney. The Tigers are two games back of Central Oklahoma in the MIAA standings going into the final weekend, but FHSU has just two games remaining and UCO has four. Both of UCO's opponents are in the upper half of the MIAA standings. The Tigers will need success on Friday and then wait to see what happens with UCO over Saturday and Sunday to determine what seed they will get in the MIAA Tournament.

Fort Hays State continues to lead the NCAA Regional Rankings with the most recent release this past Wednesday. The Tigers are 30 games over .500 for in-region games and 30-over .500 overall, which has all been against Division II competition. The Tigers and Southeastern Oklahoma State hold the top two spots, while a trio of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference teams are in third through fifth. Central Oklahoma is currently sixth and a trio of MIAA schools are ranked eight through 10 with Missouri Western, Emporia State, and Truman.
