Sixth-ranked Fort Hays State went 2-1-1 at the Midwest Duals in Kearney, Neb., on Saturday.  The Tigers had wins over regional opponents Northern State and Minot State, and after a loss to Southwest Minnesota State, tied California Baptist in the final round.
 
C.J. Napier (141), Jon Inman (184) and Zack Grimes (197) were all undefeated for the Tigers, posting 4-0 records as individuals.

Fort Hays State (6-3-1) hosts No. 4 Nebraska-Kearney on Wednesday (Jan. 22) at 6 p.m., and the Kansas Cup next Saturday (Jan. 25).

FHSU closed out the Midwest Duals with a 21-21 tie against California Baptist – a team receiving votes in the latest national poll.  Down 6-0 to start the match after decisions at 125 and 133 pounds, FHSU used a decision by Napier and a pin from Ziegler to take a 9-6 lead.  Josh Rodriguez had FHSU's other pin in the match.  After leading 21-15 at the completion of 197 pounds, an open weight for FHSU gave Cal Baptist enough points for the tie.
