No. 3 Tigers Host Northeastern State on Thursday

Fort Hays State opens a two-game home stand against Oklahoma schools, beginning with Northeastern State on Thursday night (Jan. 14). The No. 3 Tigers, now 14-1 overall and 8-1 in the MIAA, tipoff with the RiverHawks at 5:30 pm at Gross Memorial Coliseum.

Fort Hays State enters the game on a four-game win streak. FHSU picked up a pair of wins on the road last week in Missouri at Lindenwood and Lincoln. FHSU looks to keep pace at the top of the MIAA standings with Missouri Western, which now sits at 16-0 overall and 10-0 in the MIAA after a win at Washburn on Wednesday night. FHSU looks to stay within one game of the Griffons on Thursday night.

Northeastern State enters the game at 5-10 overall and 2-7 in the MIAA. The RiverHawks are on a two-game losing streak after falling at home to Washburn and Emporia State last week.

Chelsea Mason continues to lead FHSU in scoring at 14.4 points per game. Jill Faxon is averaging 12.4 points per game and a team-high 5.3 rebounds per game. Beth Bohuslavsky averages 11.5 points per game and leads the team in assists at 2.7 per game. Paige Lunsford is just shy of a double-figure average at 9.7 points per game.
