HAYS, Kan. - The Fort Hays State women's basketball team will spring into action this weekend at the Drury Inn Tip-Off Tournament in St. Joseph, Missouri. The Tigers will open the regular season against Upper Iowa on Friday (Nov. 11) before facing off with Southwest Minnesota State Saturday.

Both Upper Iowa and Southwest Minnesota State finished 5-24 last season, prompting coaching changes for both programs. Each school returns three starters from a year ago. The Tigers faced off with the Peacocks and Mustangs to start the year last season, defeating UIU 74-62 before coasting past SMSU, 71-34.
