Fort Hays State Softball has a busy week in Hays as it hosts a pair of non-conference doubleheaders on Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 29-Mar. 1) against Newman University and Wayne State College. It marks the first four games of an eight-game home stand as conference action opens on Friday and Saturday. The Tigers enter the week at 3-6 overall.

The Tigers have had a week of rest following a trip to St. Cloud, Minn. The Tigers went 2-3 on the trip, winning their last game over host St. Cloud State 3-2. The Tigers look to put together a win streak before entering conference play on Friday.

Newman enters Monday's contests at 5-9 overall. The Bearcats are coming off a doubleheader split at Southwest Baptist on Saturday. Wayne State enters Tuesday in search of its first win of the season. The Wildcats are 0-4 to open the 2016 season.

The doubleheader with Newman begins at 3 pm on Monday and the doubleheader with Wayne State begins at 1 pm on Tuesday.
