Fort Hays State Softball looks to snap a seven-game losing streak on Tuesday (Apr. 5) when it travels to Wichita, Kan., for a doubleheader with Newman University. The games begin at 3 pm. The Tigers enter the day at 13-24 overall, while Newman is 12-28 overall.

Fort Hays State defeated Newman twice earlier this season in Hays on February 29 by scores of 9-8 in eight innings and 8-2. The Tigers have struggled away from home this year, a record of 5-20 in road and neutral site contests combined.

Five of the last seven losses for FHSU have occurred in walk-off fashion, three in the opponent's last at bat and two by run rule. All five occurred consecutively and the first two were nine-inning contests. The Tigers had won four straight before going into their current seven-game slide.
