Fort Hays State looks to end a nine game losing skid this weekend with a pair of home, MIAA doubleheaders Friday and Saturday (Apr. 8-9). The Tigers host Emporia State Friday in the annual "Jam-Pack" Tiger Stadium doubleheader, starting at 4 pm, before wrapping up on Saturday with two games against Washburn at 1 pm. The Tigers enter the weekend with an overall record of 13-26, 7-13 in the MIAA.

Emporia State comes in at 19-22 overall and sits .500 in the MIAA with a 7-7 record. As a team, the Hornets sit fifth in the conference with a .308 batting average and tied for third in hits with 347. ESU is led by the bat of Danielle Sprinkle, who is hitting .352 with 39 RBI and seven home runs this season.
Washburn currently sits at 17-17 overall, 7-9 in the MIAA and will take on Nebraska-Kearney for two games on Friday before coming to Hays Saturday. The Ichabods' success this season has come from behind the pitching of Samantha Carson. Carson currently is sixth in the MIAA with a 2.49 ERA and has allowed just .44 homeruns per 7.0 innings pitched.
Paxton Duran leads the Tigers in the circle and currently ranks second in the MIAA with 157 strikeouts.
Rilee Krier has put together the best season of her career as a Tiger. So far, Krier has put together career highs in runs (24), stolen bases (16), and walks (11), and has tied her career high in hits (41).
