Before jumping into conference play next week, the Fort Hays State women's basketball team will host Sterling College for one final tune up Saturday (Nov. 25) inside Gross Memorial Coliseum. First tip has been pushed back to 5:30 p.m. due to the Tiger football playoff game.

The Tigers enter the contest 4-0, winning their first four games for the third year in a row. Sterling is 4-2 on the year after defeating St. Mary (Kan.) on Tuesday. Fort Hays State is 7-3 all-time against Sterling, including a 4-1 mark in Hays. The Tigers have won five-straight against the Warriors. This is the third year in a row that the Tigers have played Sterling after not meeting since before FHSU made the jump to NCAA Division II.

Reigning MIAA Athlete of the Week
Tatyana Legette has been the offensive leader for the Tigers so far this season, averaging 14.3 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. She is the only individual in the MIAA ranked in the top 10 in the league in all three categories. Freshman
Whitney Clampitt had a strong weekend in her home debut, averaging 14.5 points per game over two games last week.
Carly Heim made seven steals against UC-Colorado Springs last Friday, the most for a Tiger since 2013.

Sterling College has opened KCAC play on a three-game winning streak after opening the year 1-2. Freshman Kylah Comley leads the team with 19.7 points per game, 15th-most in NAIA. The guard earned KCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring 33 points and dishing out six assists in a slim 72-70 win against Southwestern (Kan.) last week. She also leads the team in assists (3.7 apg) while Kilee Harris averages a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game.
