The Fort Hays State women's basketball team looks to end a three-game losing streak against #19 Pittsburg State Saturday afternoon (Dec. 2) when the Gorillas make the trip to Hays. First tip is set for 2 p.m. inside Gross Memorial Coliseum.

The Tigers head into the weekend 6-0 on the year after winning their first MIAA contest of the year Thursday against Missouri Southern, 76-60. Pittsburg State (6-1, 0-1 MIAA) is coming off its first loss of the season, losing to Nebraska-Kearney in overtime, 97-95.

FHSU is 25-27 all-time against the Gorillas, but hold a 15-9 advantage against PSU in Hays.
Tony Hobson is 4-13 against PSU, including a 3-4 mark inside Gross Memorial Coliseum. The Gorillas have won the last three meetings in the series and seven of the last 10. However, the Tigers have won two straight in Hays.

Tatyana Legette not only leads the Tigers in multiple statistical categories, she is also among the leaders in the conference. The junior ranks in the top five in the conference in rebounds per game (9.3), field goal percentage (57.1), assists per game (3.3), assist/turnover ratio (2.2) and steals (3.0). Legette (15.0 ppg) is one of five Tigers averaging more than nine points per game, with
Kacey Kennett (14.7) and
Taylor Rolfs (11.7) also averaging in double figures.
Emma Stroyan picked up two more blocks against MSSU, giving the senior 11 for the season (fourth in the MIAA).

The Gorillas average 76 points per game thanks to a 43.5 team shooting percentage. PSU controls the ball nearly as well as the Tigers, making just 11.7 turnovers per contest. Mikaela Burgess leads the team and ranks fourth in the conference with 16.9 points per game after eclipsing 20 points three times so far this year. Madison Northcutt nearly averages a double-double, leading the team and ranking third in the conference with 11.6 rebounds while scoring 9.0 points per contest. Paige Imhoff has dished out an astounding 42 assists so far this season, averaging a league-best 6.0 per game (11th in NCAA DII).
