Fort Hays State returns to MIAA play on Friday (Mar. 23) and Saturday (Mar. 24) at home when it hosts Central Missouri and Southwest Baptist. The doubleheader with UCM begins at 2 pm on Friday, and the pair of games against SBU begins at 12 pm on Saturday.

The Tigers are looking to bounce back from four straight losses in Colorado earlier this week, dropping doubleheaders at Metro State and Colorado Christian. However, the Tigers took three of four games in conference play last weekend by sweeping Lincoln and splitting with Lindenwood. FHSU enters the weekend at 7-23 overall and 3-5 in the MIAA.

Bailey Kennedy and
Sara Breckbill have been dialed in at the plate over the last eight games. In that stretch, Kennedy has a team-best .571 batting average (12-for-21) with four doubles and six RBI. Breckbill has been smashing the ball to a .455 clip (10-for-22) with three home runs and eight RBI in the stretch. She nearly had four homers in that stretch after pulling a ball with home run distance foul in a contest against Lindenwood last weekend. With three home runs over the last four games (two in one contest), she has taken over the team lead for the season with four.

Bailey Boxberger's power numbers have also been impressive over the last eight games, pounding out five doubles, two homers, and 14 RBI. She now has the team lead in RBI for the season with 19.
Grace Philop continues to lead the team in batting average for the season at .367, while
Candace Bollig is the team leader in runs with 20.

Megan Jamison has seen a solid stretch of pitching over the last eight games, posting a 1.66 ERA in five relief appearances

Central Missouri enters Friday's doubleheader with a five-game win streak. The Jennies swept a doubleheader from Missouri Southern earlier in the week and now sit at 14-14 overall and 3-1 in the MIAA. Southwest Baptist will play at Nebraska-Kearney on Friday before coming to Hays on Saturday. The Bearcats enter the weekend 11-14 overall and 1-1 so far in the MIAA.
