Four Tiger Women Named to CSC Academic All-District Team for 2023-24

Fort Hays State Women's Basketball had four student-athletes named to the CSC Academic All-District Team on Tuesday (March 26). Katie Wagner, Olivia Hollenbeck, Kate Dilsaver, and Jessie Sallach received the distinction this year. This award honors a combination of academic and athletic accomplishments of the individuals selected. Wagner, Hollenbeck, and Sallach earned the distinction for the second-straight year.

To be considered for Academic All-District selection, an individual must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better, and compete in 90 percent of the team's contests or start at least 66 percent of contests at the time of nomination. A school can have a maximum of four selections for women's basketball, so FHSU reached the maximum allowed this year and had several more players eligible if not limited to just four individuals.

Wagner and Hollenbeck were All-MIAA selections for the 2023-24 season. Wagner was the MIAA Player of the Year, an All-MIAA First Team and MIAA All-Defensive Team selection, and a WBCA All-America Honorable Mention pick. Hollenbeck was an All-MIAA Third Team selection. Wagner had a 3.87 GPA as an undergrad, earning her degree in Accounting, and currently owns a 4.0 working on her masters degree in Business Administration. Hollenbeck holds a 3.69 GPA as a General Studies major with emphasis in Education. Dilsaver is one of two undergrads on the team with a 4.0 cumulative GPA as an Accounting major, while Sallach holds a 3.94 GPA as a Health and Human Performance major with emphasis in Sports Management/Recreation.

The MIAA Player of the Year in 2023-24, Wagner is now a three-time All-MIAA selection at FHSU, earning first-team honors for the second-straight year. She became the sixth player in FHSU women's basketball history to earn All-America honors, averaging 17.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game in 2023-24. She has 1,732 points in her career, fourth-most in program history, while ranking second in career rebounds with 965 and ninth in steals with 183.

Hollenbeck is now a four-time All-MIAA selection at FHSU. She helped the Tigers to another successful season by averaging 12.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, while adding a team-best 45 blocked shots. Hollenbeck now has 1,402 career points, which ranks 10th in program history, and 566 rebounds. She has moved up to second on the career blocked shots list at FHSU, now with 169. Her 526 career field goals also ranks 10th in program history and 350 career made free throws ranks eighth.

Dilsaver continues to hold her 4.0 GPA through three seasons at FHSU. She averaged 4.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per game, playing in all 33 contests for the Tigers. She added 1.5 assists per game and generated 23 steals for the season.

Sallach averaged 5.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game for the Tigers in 2023-24. She generated 690 points and 425 rebounds over four years at FHSU.
