Fort Hays State Softball takes a break from conference play for its next four doubleheaders. They begin their eight-game run of non-conference contests with a two-day trip to Colorado Tuesday and Wednesday (March 11-12). FHSU will play at UC-Colorado Springs on Tuesday and then faces Adams State in a neutral doubleheader at UC-Colorado Springs' home venue on Wednesday. Both doubleheaders are set for 1 p.m. CDT / 12 PM MDT. Live stream and stats will be available for both doubleheaders at the links provided above.

The Tigers are coming off a 3-1 start to MIAA play this past weekend with a sweep of a doubleheader against Central Missouri and then a split with Missouri Western. The Tigers were one of six teams in the conference to open 3-1, which is tied for the conference lead.

UC-Colorado Springs is currently on an eight-game win streak after sweeping Chadron State and Fort Lewis is four-game conference series. The Mountain Lions are 5-3 in non-conference games this season.

Fort Hays State holds a 26-15 advantage in the all-time series with UC-Colorado Springs. This will be the first meeting between the schools since 2020, when FHSU won a neutral site game in Lubbock, Texas. FHSU has a 22-8 record against Adams State all-time and this will be the first meeting between the schools since Fort Hays State's last year in the RMAC back in 2006 before moving to the MIAA.
