REGINA, Saskatchewan – Former Fort Hays State wide receiver
Jayden Horace was signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the upcoming 2025 season. Horace played the final two years of his collegiate career at Fort Hays State and was a two-time All-MIAA selection.
Horace finished with 1,283 receiving yards on 92 catches with 19 touchdowns over his two years at FHSU. He produced a team-leading 56 receptions for 704 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 2024, earning All-MIAA Second Team honors at wide receiver. He was an All-MIAA Honorable Mention selection back in 2023 with 579 yards on 36 receptions, while scoring 11 touchdowns.
Horace spent his first two years at Allen University, another NCAA Division II school in Columbia, South Carolina, where he recorded 1,268 receiving yards on 83 receptions with eight touchdowns over his freshman and sophomore seasons.
For his four-year career at the NCAA Division II level, Horace amassed 2,551 receiving yards on 175 receptions with 27 touchdowns. By the end of the 2024 season, Horace had the sixth-most career receiving yards among active NCAA Division II players and third-most receiving touchdowns. His 19 receiving touchdowns at FHSU tied for sixth-most in the program's history.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders begin their preseason schedule on May 24. Their first regular season game is set for June 5.
