Fort Hays State softball student-athletes Regan Curry and Lexi Mohr were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team on Tuesday (May 27). This award honors a combination of academic and athletic accomplishments of the individuals selected.
 
To be considered for Academic All-District honors, softball student-athletes must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and must have played in 90 percent of team games played or start at least 66 percent of the total number of team games played. They also must be at least a sophomore in athletic eligibility.
 
Curry earned this honor for a third-straight year in 2024. She was the MIAA "A Game" Scholar for the 2024 season, given to the individual with the top GPA competing in the MIAA Championships. She held a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout her time at FHSU as a Biology (Health Professions) major. Curry was a vital part of the FHSU softball team for four years as the starting shortstop. Her 373 career assists ranks second in FHSU history, but first among players with just four years of eligibility. She was the MIAA Gold Glove winner at shortstop in 2024. She committed just five errors in 137 chances, good for a .964 fielding percentage. At the plate, Curry had a .245 career batting average with 134 hits, 78 runs scored, and 73 RBIs in 205 games played.
 
Mohr received the Academic All-District distinction for the first the first time in her career. She holds a 3.92 GPA as a Health and Human Performance (K-12 Teaching/Coaching) major at FHSU. Mohr had a strong year at the plate for the Tigers in 2024, hitting .316 with 10 extra-base hits (9 doubles, 1 home run). She tied for the team lead in RBIs with 22 and led the team in doubles (9) and sacrifices (7).
